These Terms govern your access to and use of the Service (website, APIs, and related features). By creating an account, clicking to accept, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.
- Google sign-in and other authentication methods are subject to those providers’ terms and privacy policies.
2. What the Service provides
The Service helps you discover recipes, plan meals, manage grocery lists, and use optional tools such as calendar integration and AI-assisted features. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
3. Not professional advice
Recipes, nutritional information (if any), and AI-generated content are for informational and convenience purposes only. They are not medical, dietary, or professional nutrition advice. Consult a qualified professional for allergies, medical conditions, or strict dietary requirements. You are solely responsible for food safety, preparation, and verifying ingredients.
4. Your content and licence to us
- Your data: Meal plans, lists, notes, preferences, and other content you submit remain yours, subject to the rights you grant us below.
- Licence: You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, and adapt your content as needed to operate, improve, and secure the Service, including backups and technical processing.
- Catalogue contributions: If you submit or generate content that updates a shared recipe catalogue (e.g. images or edits), you understand such content may be visible to other users as designed by the product.
- You represent that you have the rights to grant the above licence for content you submit.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable law or third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users’ data, or our systems.
- Interfere with or overload the Service (e.g. scraping at scale, denial-of-service, reverse engineering except where permitted by law).
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful material.
- Misrepresent your identity or misuse another person’s account.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or others.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on Google (Firebase, Authentication, Calendar, AI APIs) and may rely on hosting or analytics providers. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond what the law requires.
7. AI features
AI-generated text or images may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You should verify outputs before relying on them. AI processing may be subject to provider terms and technical limits (e.g. quotas). We do not warrant the quality or fitness of AI outputs for any purpose.
8. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service’s software, branding, and materials except where you or third parties retain rights. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary materials except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
9. Fees
If we introduce paid plans, pricing and billing terms will be presented at purchase. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
10. Termination
- You may stop using the Service and delete your account where the product allows.
- We may suspend or terminate access with or without notice if you breach these Terms, if we discontinue the Service, or for legal or operational reasons.
- Provisions that by nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, directors, and employees are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability for claims arising from the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) fifty euros (€50), if you have not paid us.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us and our affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
14. Changes
We may modify these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance, where permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, excluding conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Paris, France have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws give you non-waivable rights in your country of residence.
